Why I Created Coordinated Escapes — Inspired by One Unforgettable Night in Venice

A Beginning in Venice

Scott — my spouse, my partner in crime, and truly my why — and I were traveling to Italy for a destination wedding in Florence. We planned Scott’s first trip to Europe around it, beginning in Venice, continuing by train to Verona, and ending with the wedding celebration in Florence.

On our first evening in Venice, we wandered from Piazza San Marco, taking in the glow of the city at dusk. Just before reaching the Hotel Danieli, we stopped at the Bridge of Sighs — that graceful, white-stone arch suspended above the canal. I snapped a photo there, one of my favorites to this day. The bridge has such history and quiet emotion, and standing there together felt surreal — like we’d stepped into a story that had been waiting for us.

A few steps later, we entered the Danieli. I’d seen it years earlier in The Tourist and always imagined what it would feel like to sit beneath those chandeliers. Inside, the light shimmered across marble floors and mirrored columns. I ordered a glass of Veuve Rosé; Scott, naturally, ordered a Vesper martini — his nod to James Bond.

It was his first sip of Europe — and I could see it hit him: the awe, the appreciation, the quiet joy of being fully present. We lingered for hours, soaking in the glow of the room, the rhythm of conversation, the weight of history surrounding us. And later that same night, we went back again. Same bar. Same seats. Same drinks. Because some moments are too beautiful to experience only once.

That evening became our ritual — and our benchmark. Every destination since has been measured against the ease, beauty, and emotion of that first night in Venice.

My Why

I’ve always been the planner — the one who builds the itinerary, researches every detail, and makes sure the experience flows seamlessly. I love it. But I’ve also learned that for most people, travel planning feels like work.

What should be joy becomes another checklist. Decision fatigue replaces anticipation. And milestone trips — the ones meant to celebrate love, legacy, or renewal — can easily lose their magic in the process.

That realization, combined with watching Scott fall in love with travel on that first trip, became the foundation for Coordinated Escapes.

Because luxury travel isn’t about excess — it’s about ease. It’s the freedom to arrive and know that every detail has already been thought through. It’s stepping into a space that feels like it was chosen just for you. It’s clinking glasses over the Grand Canal and realizing you have nowhere else to be.

It’s travel that restores your energy instead of draining it — the kind that lets you slow down, reconnect, and truly savor life.

What Coordinated Escapes Does

At Coordinated Escapes, I design milestone travel that feels effortless, intentional, and deeply personal.

I work with couples and close-knit groups who want to celebrate life’s biggest moments — birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, or long-overdue getaways — with meaning, beauty, and calm sophistication.

Every journey is curated around celebrated ease:

  • Ease from start to finish — seamless arrivals, private transfers, and perfectly timed details.
  • Calm access — iconic destinations without the crowds or chaos.
  • Milestone storytelling — each trip anchored by one unforgettable moment.
  • Luxury that lingers — thoughtful touches that make you feel seen, celebrated, and completely at ease.

Because when travel is curated with intention, it becomes more than a getaway — it becomes part of your story.

For the Ones Who Want to Feel It All

You’ve built the life. You’ve reached the milestone. Now it’s time to celebrate — without spreadsheets, stress, or second-guessing.

That’s what I do: I turn decision fatigue into delight. I create calm in the chaos. So you can sip a glass of Veuve Rosé in Venice, stroll hand-in-hand through Verona, and toast under the stars in Florence — fully present, fully alive.

The Promise

Every journey I design carries a piece of that first trip — the glow of Venice, the rhythm of the rails through Verona, and the joy of celebration in Florence.

Because Coordinated Escapes isn’t just about where you go. It’s about how it feels while you’re there — and how it lingers when you return home.

This is luxury that feels effortless, connection that feels grounded, and memory that endures.
Because milestones deserve more than just a trip — they deserve to be coordinated beautifully.
